Crown Prince of Jordan support Jordan-UK Tech Connect 2025 Forum

(MENAFN) HRH Crown Prince Hussein lent his patronage to the Jordan–UK Tech Connect 2025 Forum, organized by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship in collaboration with the Jordanian Embassy in London.

Supported by the Jordan Source program, the forum brought together over 140 leaders in technology and entrepreneurship from Jordan and the United Kingdom to discuss potential cooperation and investment in areas such as digital transformation, creative industries, electronic gaming, artificial intelligence, and digital services, according to a ministry statement.

The event also showcased Jordan’s growing presence in the region’s electronic gaming sector, with top Jordanian companies participating and highlighting the country’s competitive edge in digital innovation.

Participants emphasized Jordan’s thriving technology ecosystem, which combines young talent with advanced infrastructure, making the nation an appealing destination for global tech firms. British delegates underscored the UK’s extensive expertise and investment in these sectors, noting that collaboration between the two countries presents a strategic opportunity for mutual growth.

Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Sami Smirat expressed gratitude to the Crown Prince for his patronage, praising his ongoing support for Jordan’s digital transformation and youth empowerment.

"We are proud of the vision of HRH Crown Prince Hussein, which continues to inspire Jordan’s path toward development and innovation. Jordan is now steadily strengthening its position as a regional hub for digital innovation and investment in technology and the creative industries," he said.

Smirat added that, through the Jordan Source programme and the National Council for Future Technology, the Kingdom is forging strategic partnerships to expand opportunities in digital transformation, AI, gaming, and digital education.

On the sidelines of the forum, the minister met with representatives of leading global technology companies to explore cooperation and investment opportunities in Jordan, as well as ways to transfer expertise and advanced technologies to support digital transformation projects and enhance digital skills in the Kingdom.
